This is the beach of the capital of the council of Carreño, Candás. Arenal is sure to be very busy during the summer season.

An urban beach in the tourist town of Candás, in the council of Carreño. There are 240 metres of golden sand bordered by a promenade that leads to the port. It offers all kinds of facilities and the possibility of doing different water and underwater sports.
It is a very safe sandy area with a high occupancy rate during the summer season. It has a rocky outcrop called La Farola, which was once used as a lookout lighthouse by fishermen. There is a wide range of restaurants and bars in the surrounding area.

If you travel with your pet you should know that...
- Pets are not allowed between 15/05 and 15/10.
- From 01/05 to 14/05 and 16/10 to 31/10, pets will be allowed until 10:00 and from 19:00 h., and the presence of pets between 10:00 and 19:00 h. is forbidden.
- Pets may not cause a nuisance to other users, and the owner must exercise control over the animal at all times.
- In the promenades and urban promenades, in the areas near the accesses to the beach, the presence of pets is permitted provided that they are kept on a fixed leash of no more than one metre in length and, when this is necessary due to the characteristics of the animal, they must be muzzled.
