Info
This is the beach par excellence of the nearby fishing village of Puerto de Vega and all kinds of pets are forbidden here.
It is 700 metres long and at its eastern end, the only one where bathing is recommended, is the mouth of a stream. Its easy access makes the effort for its conservation particularly important.
It has a field of dunes fixed by a pine grove, in which marine animals have been stranded on occasion, dragged by the current. The dunes are populated by different protected or endangered natural species. One of the few Cantabrian populations of the phanerogam Othantus Maritimus can be found in its waters.
