Info
Mirada Astur offers activities to observe the Brown Bear, a species in which we are specialised, but we do not neglect any other species of our environment, such as the Wild Cat.
The activity consists of a short route through the Natural Park of Fuentes del Narcea, Degaña and Ibias to interpret the habitat of the Brown Bear.
We offer a walk along the paths of the Park. After the walk, we propose an active observation for the sighting and enjoyment of bears in the wild, being able to contemplate them fully and calmly with the minimum interaction on our part towards the species.
The activity usually lasts about 3 or 4 hours and can be divided into two parts. The whole time can be devoted to walking the trails of this magnificent protected area, or to searching for bears and other species that make up our ecosystem, thus increasing the chances of observing these plant-eating animals.
For this reason, the activity is usually carried out in the early or late hours of the day, as this is when wildlife is most active.
The activity includes transport from our headquarters, optical material to facilitate observation at great distances (binoculars and telescope), guide-monitor and civil liability and accident insurance. Lunch is not included.
It is also recommended that you wear suitable clothing and footwear for the activities, so please contact us in advance.
The guides have the qualifications of the Higher Level Training Cycle in Management and Organisation of Natural and Landscape Resources and Leisure Time Monitor.
