A unique facility to get to know the largest open-air museum in any city, in this case, Avilés: its cementery.

Two tours (La Carriona Cemetery: " Area of Art" and "Place of Remembrance") enable visitors to become acquainted with an important artistic legacy and further their knowledge of the city's past through the public figures buried here.

Built in the late 19th century, this exhibition area hosts a good selection of the works of renowned artists such as Cipriano Folgueras, Manuel del Busto and Federico Ureña.

The tour is completed with several display cases showing facsimiles of the plans for mausoleums and applications for burial from the mid-20th century, among other things.
