The Vegarredonda Refuge is located in the hamlet of the same name, in the Western Massif or Covadonga Massif, within the Picos de Europa National Park.

Located at an altitude of 1,460m. It has 68 places, spread over three buildings. It was built in 1987, although previously there was a small refuge a little higher up than the current one, which was used as a powder magazine during the Spanish Civil War.

When the guard is not there, the shelter has 24 places with mattresses and water nearby. Emergency radio.
