The Campo de San Roque in Tineo/Tinéu hosts the San Roque festivities , the most important in the council and whose main day is 16 August.
This event has been declared a Festival of Tourist Interest of the Principality of Asturias.
The origins of the fiestas of San Roque go back to the foundation of the chapel in the Campo de San Roque in the 14th century and the pilgrims who, on their way to Santiago de Compostela, stopped to pay homage to the saint.
