A surfing and sun-soaked paradise in the west
This is an urban beach, situated in Tapia itself, which opens out alongside the meandering course of the River Anguileiro and links two areas known as Los Campos and La Ribeira. To the east, there are further urban coves, such as Maleguas, As Furadas and Ribeiría.
This stretch of beach consists of fine, golden-brown sand. It offers a full range of facilities, a leisure area, ample car parking and a promenade leading to the harbour.
It is the surfers’ favourite spot on the coast. In fact, it hosts an international competition held every Easter.
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE · SUMMER 2026
Due to changes in the sandbanks following the storms of recent months, a change in the sea currents has been detected at this beach.
You are advised to exercise extreme caution whilst swimming, particularly in rough seas or at low tide, to pay attention to safety signage and to follow the instructions of the lifeguard and rescue service at all times.
