Buelna Beach

This whimsical cove is perfect for family outings

It is a natural cove of great beauty in the shape of an arbitrary/wayward/unpredictable channel which at low tide impedes seeing the sea from the top of the beach. Buelna is a beach that ranges between 50 and 1,000 metres in length, depending on the tide, and is made of fine white sand and rocks. One of the most famous rocks is a limestone pinnacle called El Picón. Blowholes can be visited in the surroundings.

The beach is great for families, with safe bathing. Although it lacks amenities and is not easily accessible, it is often crowded. It is accessed via a track from Buelna.
