A bath in a natural pool carved out of the rock.
Small, dark sand and in the shape of a tombolo. This is Estaño beach, a semi-urban cove just five kilometres from Gijón/Xixón. With good facilities and a strong swell, its left bank is recommended for bathing, although caution should be exercised due to its rocky bottom.
The Pozo del Cura, a natural pool carved out of the rock, stands out in Estaño. In addition, in its western sector is the islet of La Tortuga. It is a sandy area very suitable for scuba diving and underwater fishing.
Boards, jet skis, motor or sailing boats, etc. are prohibited in the bathing area.
