It is a small cove of fine white sand, sheltered by the breakwater of San Esteban harbour and the cliffs of the coastal plain.

The beachside heart of a fishing village
To the west of the beach lie the rocky outcrops of El Garruncho and El Focarón, which share similar characteristics and are accessible at low tide.
The beach has vehicle access and is situated at the start of the Ruta de los Miradores, a route connecting San Esteban with Aguilar beach along the coast. Nearby are the San Esteban seawater pools, a unique seaside leisure spot, open during the summer season from 16 June to 13 September, from 12:00 to 20:00.

If you travel with your pet you should know that...
- Animals are prohibited from entering or being present on the beach from 1 May to 30 September.
- On seafront and urban promenades, in areas close to beach access points, pets are permitted provided they are kept on a fixed lead no longer than one metre and, where necessary due to the animal’s characteristics, must wear a muzzle.
