For beachgoers, Verdicio beach – also known as Tenrero – stands out above all for its powerful waves, which break right on the shore, and for the beauty of its surroundings, with dune vegetation and coarse golden sand.
Furthermore, Verdicio is home to Lower Palaeolithic archaeological sites of great significance, as well as the hill fort of El Cuerno, situated on the hills visible towards the Cabo Peñas area. To the right, the beach is bordered by a chain of islets.
It forms part of the Cabo Peñas Protected Landscape.
