Castrillón (Central Asturias)
Bayas / El Sablón Beach

A stroll along the longest beach in the Principality

Long, with dark golden sand and a heavy swell. That's Bayas Beach, also known as El Sablón Beach, a beautiful beach that joins up with Los Quebrantos Beach to form an extensive shore of more than 3 kilometres, perfect for long walks. Between these two beaches flows the River Ranón, the natural boundary between the boroughs of Castrillón and Soto del Barco.

At its eastern end, there is an area of great natural beauty called Los Requexinos, frequented by nudists. For travelers arriving by plane to Asturias, Bayas Beach cannot be missed; it is the large, dark beach that can be seen just before landing.
