Integrated into the environment, the Muniellos Interpretation Centre building is located 850 metres above sea level on a ridge of Las Vachinas Peak, in an old quarry that has been environmentally restored, between the villages of Oballo and Moal, outside the limits of the Reserve.
The exhibition is divided into several rooms:
Room 1.Getting to Know the Forest. This has a table with an organic profile with six computers, a turntable with reproductions of elements present in the forest and a sound system, where visitors can interactively attempt to identify the most significant elements of the forest.
Room 2. Discovering the Forest. This has two sections. The first, "Look and Listen", recreates a walk in the woods, with large scale images of the forest and re-creations of plant life and wildlife. The second represents the integration of man in the environment through the typical buildings of the area.
Room 3.A Walk in the Forest. This is a small screening room where a film is shown to provide visitors with a bird's eye view of Muniellos Forest.
Room 4.Muniellos Biosphere Reserve. A central model presides this room, on which a projection system allows the different elements of the reserve to be highlighted in relief.
Room 5. Find Out More. A small room that provides more detailed information via two computers, publications and books.
