The building that houses the centre is modern in its design and conception, in order to bring the value of popular culture up to date. The typologies, decorative styles and technical aspects go hand in hand with modern means that facilitate understanding and make this visit a success.
In this interpretation centre the family public with children has good options to enjoy, due to the existence of immersive projections, interactive screens, the possibility of watching documentaries and above all, the star proposal which is the "workshop" in which a hórreo (very large, on a scale of 1:3) is assembled with the visitors.
Throughout the year there are daily guided tours that end with a hórreo assembly workshop for the whole family. No prior booking is required, but it is advisable to arrive 10 minutes beforehand to be able to organise the activity better: in July, August and September they take place at 11:00, 13:00 and 17:30. The rest of the year at 12:00 and 16:30.
A carved and painted breadbasket dating from 1856 in the "Carreño" style has also been added to the resources used during the visit. It is located on the site, a few metres from the centre, surrounded by benches, creating a small public park.
After the visit, we highly recommend a tour of Güeñu/Bueño, with its signposted route through 47 hórreos and paneras (raised granaries) in a pleasant setting.
To make it easier, during the opening hours of the centre, we also offer users a loan service of electric bicycles so that you can explore the council of Ribera de Arriba and discover all its treasures more comfortably. It is worth mentioning that in Güeñu/Bueño you can also enjoy the Casa de las Artes, the Central Art Centre (both with a cultural programme throughout the year), a recreational area, sports facilities and a children's playground that contribute to complete the offer of this centre for the visitor.
July to September:
Thursday to Sunday and public holidays: 10:30 am to 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
October, April, May and June:
Fridays: 16:00 to 18:30 h.
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 11:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 18:30 h.
November to March:
Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 11:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 18:30 h.
Closed: 10/01 to 15/02, 24, 25, 31 December, 01, 06 January and 01 May.
Free of charge. No prior reservation is required.

- Guided tours for groups (organised or school groups): available all year round (except from 10/01 to 15/02) and any day of the week.
