It is the ideal setting for Asturians and visitors to the region to become better acquainted with the magical world of the Asturian hórreo: the origins, evolution, types and secret of the longevity and functionality of this raised granary-cum-storehouse... comprising an exhibition that allows visitors a better understanding of this type of Asturian architectural construction.
It occupies an area of 495 square metres spread over a raised terrace on pillars, imitating the stone legs or pegoyos of an hórreo, with a 181-square metre running balcony and three wooden boxes, like small hórreos housing the exhibits.
After visiting the centre, a walk around the village of Bueño is a must in order to discover and understand in situ the valuable legacy of the ethnographic heritage it safeguards.
