Penarronda Beach is a Natural Monument of fine sand in western Asturias.

This fine sandy beach, located between the municipalities of Castropol and Tapia de Casariego, occupies an area of 228,000m2 divided by the Penarronda stream.
In its western half, the north-westerly winds have created a dune field that shelters a varied flora.
The natural values that have led it to be declared a Natural Monument can be summed up in two facts: it marks the western end of the reduced nesting area of the Eurasian oystercatcher and it is the only locality of sea wallflower(Malcomia Littorea) on the Asturian coasts.
