The Valley of Turón hosts its Gastronomic Days of Pote, a gastronomic event with strong roots in Asturias, which is held to coincide with the festivity of Santa Bárbara.
This event has been declared a Festival of Tourist Interest in the Principality of Asturias.
The uniqueness of this dish gives it its own identity and name, Pote minero de Turón. These days have been held for more than twenty-five years and coincide with the festivity of Santa Bárbara, the patron saint of miners, and are held in one of the most representative valleys of mining and industrial heritage in Asturias, its natural environment has been declared a Protected Landscape of the mining basins.
