Event declared a Festival of Tourist Interest
Cudillero hosts one of the most unique festivals in Asturias, with a markedly seafaring character. It begins with a proclamation, in verse and in the Pixueto dialect, narrated by a man on a boat stranded in the port. There he tells the local patron saint, San Pedro, what has happened since the previous year's festival, in a friendly and familiar way, finally asking him to intercede for the fishermen and provide them with good fishing.
A different kind of fiesta, with touches of humour and sarcasm, which leaves no one indifferent.
