A wide urban and family cove, very crowded.
The First and Second Beaches of Luarca are the beaches of the capital of the council of Valdés. Sheltered from the strong Cantabrian swell by the breakwaters built in front of the coast, they enjoy privileged views of the marina and fishing harbours.
They are of dark sand. They have road access and a promenade which, together with their calm waters, make them a very popular family recreation area.

If you travel with your pet you should know that...
- The access and presence of pets on the beach is prohibited from 01/05 to 30/09.
- Pets will be allowed on the seafront and urban promenades, in areas near the beach accesses, provided that they are kept on a fixed leash of no more than one metre in length and, when necessary due to the characteristics of the animal, they must be muzzled.
