Ideal for all types of public
The Xivares beach is actually two beaches. They are the union of Xivares 1 and Peña María or Xivares 2. Together they form an 800-metre beach of white sand, with moderate waves and a great deal of variation in width, depending on the tides.
At low tide, they join up with Aboño beach and all of them can be seen from the top of Campa de Torres, forming an interesting panoramic view of the coastline as far as Cabo Peñas.

If you travel with your pet you should know that...
- Pets are not allowed between 15/05 and 15/10.
- From 01/05 to 14/05 and 16/10 to 31/10, pets will be allowed until 10:00 and from 19:00 h., and the presence of pets between 10:00 and 19:00 h. is forbidden.
- Pets may not cause a nuisance to other users, and the owner must exercise control over the animal at all times.
- On promenades and urban promenades, in areas close to the accesses to the beach, the presence of pets is permitted provided that they are kept on a fixed leash of no more than one metre in length and, when necessary due to the characteristics of the animal, they must be muzzled.
- It is compulsory to remove animal droppings and to deposit them duly closed in rubbish containers preferably or any other device provided for this purpose by the municipal authority.
