A paradise of waves and transparent waters to discover
Among the beaches of Llanes there are uncrowded, almost untouched paradises. One of them is the San Martín beach, which actually comprises the beach of the same name and Portiello beach, joined together at low tide.
It is a windy inlet of white sand and strong waves, chosen by many for surfing. The remains of the Romanesque chapel of San Martín stand out; the beach is located in the middle of the coastal Camino de Santiago (St. James' Way). At high tide, certain areas completely lose their sandy area.

If you travel with your pet you should know that...
- The access and presence of pets on the beach is prohibited from 01/06 to 30/09.
- In the case of abandoned animals wandering on the beaches, their owners will be responsible for them.
- Those who violate the prohibitions, or do not comply with the conditions set out above, must immediately leave the beach with the animal, at the verbal request of the Authority Agents or Rescue personnel, who will issue a report in order to investigate the appropriate disciplinary proceedings.
