San Blas Beach, also known as La Ribeiría, is situated in the San Blas neighbourhood, right on the Tapia seafront promenade.

A small beach situated in the San Blas neighbourhood, right on the Tapia seafront promenade.
It is a beach with fine golden sand and moderate waves, posing a low risk to bathers and stretching for 36 metres. It has accessible facilities for people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users.
It is part of the Natura 2000 network and enjoys environmental protection under the Special Protection Area (SPA) and Special Area of Conservation (SAC) designations. It is one of the smallest beaches in the municipality, but the most popular with residents of the San Blas and La Guardia neighbourhoods.
At the top end of the beach stand two commemorative surfboards, a symbol of surfing in Tapia and a tribute to the two Australian brothers who introduced the sport in the 1960s. The views from this spot stretch as far as the Mariña de Lugo. It also features a grassy esplanade commonly used as a sunbathing area.
If you travel with your pet you should know that...
- Pets are prohibited from entering beaches and bathing areas, except where this is necessary for activities duly authorised by the competent health authority.
- In the case of stray animals wandering on the beaches, their owners shall be held responsible for them.
- Guide dogs are permitted on beaches when accompanied by the person they are assisting, without prejudice to the responsibility of their handler and/or owner, nor to the measures the owner must take to avoid causing a nuisance or posing a risk to other beach users.
- Anyone who breaches the prohibition set out in point 1, or fails to comply with the conditions laid down in point 3 above, must immediately leave the beaches with the animal upon verbal instruction from law enforcement officers, who will draw up a report with a view to initiating the appropriate disciplinary proceedings.
