A rocky coastline ideal for mooring pleasure boats
The presence of enormous, strikingly beautiful rocks makes this beach particularly attractive; it is the busiest in the municipality of Muros de Nalón, although it shares the western end of the sandy stretch with the municipality of Cudillero, known as Campofrío Beach, beyond the mouth of the stream of the same name, the latter being the natural continuation of Aguilar Beach.
It is easily accessible by car, has parking facilities, a range of catering options and a small promenade, and is the starting point of the Ruta de los Miradores, a spectacular stretch of the coastal path that runs through Asturias.
Aguilar is bordered to the west by Punta del Gaveiro and at the other end by Punta Castiello. It is a perfect spot on the coast for mooring pleasure boats and for diving and surfing.

If you travel with your pet you should know that...
- Animals are prohibited from entering or being present on the beach from 1 June to 30 September.
- On seafront and urban promenades, in areas close to beach access points, pets are permitted provided they are kept on a fixed lead no longer than one metre and, where necessary due to the animal’s characteristics, must wear a muzzle.
