Golden sandy beach in a semi-urban environment.
It is joined at low tide to the island of Borizu or Arnielles.
Borizu beach is one of the beaches of Celoriu, together with Las Cámaras (or De los Frailes) and Palombina. Less urbanised than the rest, it shares with them its high number of bathers, its good facilities, crystal-clear waters and white sand.
The peculiarity of Borizu is that it is linked at low tide to the island of Borizu or Arnielles, by means of a tombolo, which increases its scenic interest and turns the high tide-low tide process into a beautiful spectacle.
It appears in the films "Remando al Viento" (Gonzalo Suárez, 1988) and "You're the One" (José Luis Garci, 2000).
Ordinance for pets on the beach:
- The access and presence of pets on the beach is prohibited from 01/06 to 30/09.
- In the case of abandoned animals wandering on the beaches, their owners will be responsible for them.
- Those who violate the prohibitions, or do not comply with the conditions set out above, must immediately leave the beach with the animal, at the verbal request of the Authority Agents or Rescue personnel, who will issue a report in order to investigate the appropriate sanctioning proceedings.
Rescue service (daily): 15/06 to 08/09 from 11:30 to 19:00 h.
