Carranques Beach

A past as a whaling port

Two small inlets separated by a headland. That's Carranques Beach, located in the residential resort of Perlora. It is a very popular beach, with good amenities and lifeguards in the high season.

Golden sand and a moderate swell, almost all the sandy area disappears at high tide. Its surroundings are of great scenic interest, with coves, caves and abundant vegetation . Entrellusa Isle rises up to the west of the beach, where there used to be a really old whaling port, documented from 1232.
