The borough capital of Llanes has a small urban cove

El Sablón Beach is a small urban beach located in the heart of the borough capital of Llanes. Bounded on the west by San Pedro Point (which has a spectacular promenade) and bordered in turn by a path, this beach is about 100 metres long, has a car park and wheelchair access. It is a very popular spot on the Asturian coast, semi-circular in shape, with safe bathing.

Its name comes from the Asturian term used to refer to sand: "sable".
