Shell-shaped and with crystal-clear waters
La Concha de Artedo is one of the most special beaches in Asturias. Awarded a Blue Flag, it stretches for just over 700 metres, with pebbles at the top and golden sand at low tide; it is well-equipped and attracts a fair number of bathers.
It boasts crystal-clear waters and is very sheltered. There are accounts of submarines anchoring in its waters during the Second World War, although there are no written documents to confirm this.

If you travel with your pet you should know that...
- Animals are prohibited from entering or being present on the beach from 1 June to 30 September.
- On seafront and urban promenades, in areas close to beach access points, pets are permitted provided they are kept on a fixed lead no longer than one metre and, where necessary due to the animal’s characteristics, must wear a muzzle.
