A zigzagging path to cross an 80-metre cliff
A towering cliff over 80 metres high separates visitors from this beach of pebbles and pale sand, with strong waves and few visitors. To reach it, you have to walk along a path carved in a zigzag pattern into the mountainside.
Shell-shaped, La Cueva beach can be considered an extension of La Vallina beach, with which it shares the same cove. This sandy beach, situated some 15 kilometres from the fishing village of Cudillero, has no facilities.

If you travel with your pet you should know that...
- Animals are prohibited from entering or being present on the beach from 1 June to 30 September.
- On seafront and urban promenades, in areas close to beach access points, pets are permitted provided they are kept on a fixed lead no longer than one metre and, where necessary due to the animal’s characteristics, must wear a muzzle.
