The River Espasa forms the boundary between the municipalities of Colunga and Caravia, where this spacious and easily accessible sandy beach is located.

Ideal for learning to fly… kites
On the border between the municipalities of Caravia and Colunga lies Espasa Beach, and within this stretch of sand are also Moracey Beach, with Pozu les Pipes, and Visu Beach. These beaches are connected at low tide.
Together, they stretch for almost a kilometre of fine, golden sand, with moderate waves and good facilities...
With plenty to offer, La Espasa is ideal for beginners to surfing or for trying your hand at kite flying.
Like the rest of the municipality’s beaches, it can be seen from the Mirador del Fitu viewpoint, situated right in the heart of the Sierra del Sueve.
Parking regulations:
Parking and overnight stays in the car parks and throughout the entire perimeter of the beach park are prohibited for any caravans, motorhomes, mixed-use vehicles or any vehicles suitable for camping.
