A small cove at the foot of a viewpoint
La Ñora beach is a small stretch of golden sand flanked by cliffs, with strong waves. It is very popular, but easy to reach and has several car parks. The river of the same name flows into the beach, forming the boundary between the municipalities of Gijón and Villaviciosa.
Its main attraction is the promenade, which climbs up to a viewpoint on the cliff and marks the start of the La Ñora–El Rinconín footpath. It is precisely these hills that cast a deep shadow over the beach from mid-afternoon onwards.

If you travel with your pet you should know that...
- Pets are not permitted on the beach from 1 June to 30 September
- On seafront and urban promenades, in areas near beach access points, pets are permitted provided they are kept on a fixed lead no longer than one metre; where necessary due to the nature of the animal, they must also wear a muzzle.
