Surrounded by cliffs of significant geological value
Peñarrubia Beach is a narrow strip of gravel and sand, surrounded by high cliffs that harbour a wealth of fossils. Access is difficult and can be dangerous due to the risk of rockfalls, which sometimes leads to the beach being closed.
It is an ideal beach for water sports such as spearfishing, diving, surfing, windsurfing, longboarding and paddleboarding. Furthermore, the surrounding area is perfect for hiking.
Paddleboards, jet skis, motorboats and sailing boats, etc., are prohibited in the swimming area.
Rescue service
- From 15 June to 31 August: every day, from 11.45 am to 7.15 pm.
