Poó Beach

The high tide forms a natural saltwater pool

This funnel-shaped beach, from which it is difficult to glimpse the sea at the bottom of the cliffs, lies at the mouth of a small stream called Río Vallina. When the tide comes in, the sea enters the channel that has formed over the centuries and forms a shallow, backwater pool. All these features make it a family beach, since bathing is very safe here.

This beach can be accessed by car or on foot from Poó. It has a small car park, which is insufficient for this usually crowded beach, and is surrounded by meadows.
