Info
Meanders and islets for a different cove
Porcía is a beach of pebbles and sand, with a triangular shape shared by El Franco and Tapia de Casariego. The river of the same name flows into it and serves as a natural boundary for both councils. It is notable for its river meanders and the islets of the Boy.
Easily accessible and with good services, from the beach you can see the remains of an iron ore wharf and several bollards on the rocks for mooring boats. It is very popular, perhaps partly because of its beauty, its golden sands and its particularly calm waters.
In Tapia de Casariego it is accessed via the town of Campos and Salave, and in El Franco it is accessed via Valdepares.
