The beach-cum-park is nestled in the Villaviciosa Estuary Nature Reserve

Rodiles Beach boasts an extensive wooded area of pine and eucalyptus trees and a wooden boardwalk along the bank of the estuary which make it a unique beach.

Over one kilometre long and 300 metres wide, it suffers large variations with the tides. It is one of the largest and most popular beaches in the region, also for fans of water sports like surfing and fishing. It is a very open area with a heavy swell.

It can be reached via public transport and has a controlled parking zone and camping sites in the surroundings.
