A golden cove right in the heart of the tourist resort
Santa María del Mar/El Puerto, comprising the sandy beaches of La Llada and El Puerto. El Puerto is a sandy beach, whilst La Llada features a landscaped area with picnic tables and a small bar.
The beach is situated at the mouth of the River Ferrera.
With two campsites nearby, it is surrounded by the village of Santa María del Mar / El Puertu. Interestingly, to its right lies La Ladrona, a small islet with a dark legend which tells of a giant squid that once lived in its caves.

If you travel with your pet you should know that...
- Pets are not permitted on the beach from 15 May to 15 September.
- On the seafront promenades and in the vicinity of the beaches – except within the dune systems and on the Peñona peninsula – pets are permitted all year round, provided they are always kept on a fixed lead no longer than two metres and, where necessary due to the animal’s characteristics, must wear a muzzle.
