Culture, nature and sport come together on this sandy stretch
At the edge of lush green meadows, with vegetable plots where maize is often grown, right at the mouth of the River Tol, lies this expansive sandy beach, which also features dune fields and salt marshes. A short distance away is the ‘ ’ the El Castelón hill fort.
It is a beach of fine sand, windy and with moderate waves, set in a rural setting, with easy access and a small car park. It is very family-friendly and popular with recreational anglers and divers, although it is usually moderately busy.

If you travel with your pet you should know that...
- Pets are not permitted on beaches or in bathing areas, except where this is necessary for activities duly authorised by the competent health authority.
- In the case of stray animals wandering on the beaches, their owners shall be held responsible for them.
- Guide dogs are permitted on beaches when accompanied by the person they assist, without prejudice to the responsibility of their handler and/or owner, nor to the measures they must take to prevent any nuisance or risk to other users.
- Anyone who breaches the prohibition set out in paragraph 1, or fails to comply with the conditions laid down in paragraph 3 above, must immediately leave the beaches with the animal upon verbal instruction from law enforcement officers, who will draw up a report with a view to initiating the appropriate disciplinary proceedings.
