Serín Beach

A secluded cove five kilometres from the city

Serín beach, together with its neighbour to the west, Cagonera beach, are two small, isolated coves just five kilometres from Gijón/Xixón. They are difficult to access. It has scarce sand and bathing must be done with caution, due to its rocky seabed.

Cagonera, on the other hand, is a small sandy area that was once used as a refuge for boats and fishermen. Bathing is not advisable and for water sports (such as underwater fishing or diving) it is advisable to access it by boat.
