Serín Beach

A secluded cove five kilometres from the city

Serín Beach, alongside its neighbour to the west, Cagonera Beach, are two small, secluded coves just five kilometres from Gijón/Xixón. They are difficult to access. They have very little sand, and swimming should be undertaken with caution due to the rocky seabed.

Cagonera, meanwhile, is a small sandy beach that was once used as a shelter for boats and fishermen. Swimming is not advisable, and for water sports (such as spearfishing or diving), it is recommended to access the beach by boat.
