Info
Long and with strong waves, it is frequented by fishermen.
The largest beach in the council of Cudillero is Vallina or De Gallo, a narrow, long strip of pebbles and white sand, more than a kilometre long, and very little frequented by tourists. It is an unspoilt spot where the river Vivigo flows into the sea, which serves as a boundary between this sandy area and Valdredo.
It is easily accessible on foot along a track, and is an attractive walk in itself. Several waterfalls and old watermills lead the visitor to the beach. The last of these mills is almost at the foot of the waves. It is located in the village of Oviñana.
If you travel with your pet you should know that...
- The access and presence of animals on the beach is prohibited from 01/06 to 30/09.
- Pets are allowed on the seafront and urban promenades, in the areas near the beach accesses, provided that they are kept on a fixed leash of no more than one metre in length and, when necessary due to the characteristics of the animal, they must be muzzled.
