La Atalaya Beach

A secluded cove in an urban setting

It is a small cove just 100 metres long, consisting of white sand and stone, which can be reached on foot from the town of Ribadesella. It also has road access from the outskirts.

It is not usually crowded, being somewhat remote, with a moderate swell which means bathing is not at all risky.

It is separated from the fishing town by Mount Corbero or La Atalaya, which is where it gets its name from.
