A journey through the history of Avilés.

A museum devoted to displaying and disseminating the history and artistic and monumental heritage of the centuries-old town of Avilés through four major thematic areas: the Medieval Town, the Modern Town, the Middle Class Town and the Industrial Town.

A museum explaining the evolution of the town of Avilés and its development over the last centuries.

The content of the exhibition is divided into four major thematic areas, spread over four floors of the building, starting with the town's beginning from the first settlement, through medieval history, the rise of the middle classes and the industrial stage, and ending with present-day Avilés and the future of the town.
