An Asturian art exhibition in an old slaughterhouse

The gallery, located in the old borough slaughterhouse, an elegant collection of industrial buildings dating from 1919, mainly displays Asturian art from the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) on.

Restored and refurbished during 2006 and 2007, it retains its original elements, which include the impressive system of overhead rails for transporting meat and the water tower outside.

PERMANENT EXHIBITIONS
The exhibition is made up of masterpieces by the most important artists from Langreo such as Zuco, Úrculo, Beltran, Lombardía, Rey Fueyo, along with works by outstanding Asturian creators of contemporary art such as Antonio Suárez, Bartolomé, Sanjurjo, Herminio, Maojo, and many others.
