Municipal Art Gallery of Langreo - Eduardo Úrculo

The art gallery, located in the council's old macelo, an elegant set of industrial buildings dating from 1919, mainly displays Asturian art from the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) onwards.

Rehabilitated and refurbished in 2006 and 2007, it preserves its original elements, including the impressive system of overhead rails for transporting meat and, on the outside, the elevated water tank.

The exhibition is made up of masterpieces by the most important artists from Llanca such as Zuco, Úrculo, Beltrán, Lombardía, Rey Fueyo, etc., together with outstanding Asturian creators of current art such as Antonio Suárez, Bartolomé, Sanjurjo, Herminio, Maojo, and many others.

Among other things, the art gallery has a shop/cloakroom, educational workshops for children, a multi-purpose room for conferences and projections, a car park, a garden and is accessible.
