Opened in July 1989, the Antón Museum is devoted to the figure of sculptor Antonio Rodríguez García (1911-1937), as well as to sculpture in all its forms.
It is situated in an 18th-century house, the country house of the Estrada-Nora family, located in the heart of Candás, very close to the harbour and surrounded by a large garden where sculptures are installed outdoors.
The Antón Museum is municipally owned and, thanks to a permanent collaboration agreement with the Regional Ministry of Culture, the centre forms part of the network of museums of the Principality of Asturias.
