Nature Classroom and Interpretation Centre of the Palloza of Ibias

Although the purpose of the classroom is educational, which is used by schools and environmental groups among others, it is also open to the general public, as the centre has a permanent exhibition on Ibias.

Through objects, stories, exhibitions that can be seen in the classroom and workshops that take place in it, the visitor will discover what life was like in the Asturian villages of the area centuries ago. It is an experience not to be missed.

In the building next door, La Palloza (a construction inherited from the castreña building and related to the hut of the brañas somedanas), recreates how the traditional dwellings were, circular or oval in shape, with masonry enclosures and rye straw roofs, showing the way of life of our ancestors.
