Info
Set in a stunning natural setting, La Casa del Lobo offers an experience that allows visitors to discover the role of the Iberian wolf in Asturian ecosystems from a scientific, educational and conservationist perspective. The exhibition provides a better understanding of this species, dispels misconceptions and helps visitors understand its relationship with the natural environment and humankind.
The visit can be rounded off with a guided walk of approximately 1.5 kilometres along the banks of the River Pigüeña, an interpretative trail leading to the enclosure where three Iberian wolves live. Along the way, the guides explain the origin of these animals and help visitors identify tracks and other signs of wildlife, as well as pointing out some of the most characteristic plant species of the riverside woodland and other features of environmental interest.
This activity allows visitors to observe the wolves at close quarters and delve deeper into the topics covered during the visit to the centre, offering an experience particularly recommended for families, nature lovers and anyone interested in the natural heritage of Asturias.
It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing and footwear, as part of the tour takes place along an outdoor trail.
