Mon Palace

Palace in the Asturian Baroque style with Galician influence. It has an irregular floor plan, structured around a central courtyard. The main façade, facing south, has a central body, of lesser height, between two square towers.

The tower on the right, facing SE, is built of masonry and constitutes the original core of the palace, possibly from the 16th century, while the rest of the building, erected at the end of the 17th or 18th century, was built with ashlars.

The most significant part is the central section, where the main entrance is located, flanked by lintelled windows. On the upper floor there are cantilevered balconies with wrought iron balustrades and three large coats of arms, the central, larger coat of arms representing the coat of arms of the Mon family.

The roofs are made of slate, as is customary in the area, with two and four pitched roofs.
