A land of illustrious figures, good food, stories of seafarers and sailors, fresh fish auctioned right off the boat, historical towns, sports fans, shipyards, good milk, and Celtic hill forts and stories. That's Navia.

A river marks its life, the Navia, which flows into the sea in the form of grand estuary in the borough capital, the town of Navia, a quiet place where you can eat fabulous food and practice all kinds of water sports thanks not only to its estuary, but also to its beach, which means that surfing and canoeing are everyday sights here. Although in questions of sport, what really sets Navia and its borough on the international stage is the long-standing Swimming race down the Navia Estuary.

Navia means the dairy industry, countryside, shipyards, fishing, the fish auction, and unique desserts like requesón (cottage cheese) with honey and la venera almond tart. In short, Navia is an ongoing discovery, even of literary scope, as Ramón de Campoamor is one of the illustrious figures born in the borough capital...
