Casa Trabanco Cider House

Sidra Trabanco, founded in 1925 in Lavandera (Gijón), is one of the historical references of Asturian cider. With almost a century of experience, it combines tradition in the selection of apples and in the "mayado" with innovation in its facilities, consolidating itself as a reference cider maker in Asturias. Guided visits to the cider makers allow visitors to go through this historical process, appreciate the different production areas and get to know the essence of a cider declared a sign of regional identity.

Origins" Tour
This is a journey through the origins of Trabanco Cider, visiting the family winery where Emilio Trabanco began to produce his first litres of cider in 1925. The tour passes through the spaces that evoke the cider-making tradition under the foundations of the family home, among the stone, the old barrels, the smell of apples and ferments, in a journey into the past that shows the traditional production of natural cider.
The visit includes: a visit to the Casa Alicia winery and traditional presses, a mini-course in cider pouring and a tasting of cider from a barrel and a complimentary pinchín (aperitif).

Visit "Origins and Cider Tunnel".
In addition to the Origins visit, and what it includes, we will extend our tour of the Trabanco world in a much more complete visit that represents the growth and commitment to new challenges. A short walk through Lavandera, enjoying the landscape, the ethnography and contemplating the orchards, will take us to our winery, the Cider Tunnel, located inside an old railway tunnel built at the beginning of the 20th century, and which today holds just over a million litres of cider, as well as the family museum.
The visit includes: a visit to the cider tunnel, a walk through Lavandera, the tunnel cellar, the family museum, a visit to the Casa Alicia cellar and traditional presses, a mini-course in cider pouring and a tasting of cider from a barrel and a complimentary pinchín (aperitif).

• School groups, special groups and groups < 65 years old: 10% discount.
• The visit to the Origins and the Cider Tunnel involves a short walk that culminates in a slope to access the latter (please note in case of reduced mobility or pushchairs).
