La Florida Reservoir

The La Florida Reservoir, situated in Tineo, is notable for its combination of water, biodiversity and landscape. Its shores and wetlands provide a particularly interesting setting for birdwatching, and the ‘Paseo de las Aves’ (Bird Walk) offers an easy way to explore part of the reservoir whilst discovering interpretative information about the area’s wildlife and ecosystems.

Recreational fishing is also practised in its waters. Together with the La Barca Reservoir, it forms part of the Pilotuerto and Calabazos Reservoirs Game Reserve, which enhances the natural and wildlife value of this enclave in the Narcea Valley. It is an ideal spot for enjoying peaceful strolls, gentle walks, birdwatching and taking in the surrounding landscape.

Access is via the AS-214 road from Tineo to Soto de la Barca, continuing from there along the AS-15 towards the reservoir.
