Trasona Reservoir

The Trasona Reservoir, in Corvera de Asturias, is one of the leading venues for canoeing and rowing in Asturias. It is home to the Sports Training Centre and hosts high-level training sessions and competitions, which is why its identity is closely linked to sport. Fishing is also practised on its waters, and the surrounding area is of ornithological interest, with the presence of ducks and herons.

On both banks lie the Gavitos and Overo recreational areas, ideal for relaxing, strolling and enjoying the scenery. A visit here allows you to combine sporting activities, birdwatching and outdoor leisure, whilst always bearing in mind the terms of use for the facilities, any events taking place and local signage. Furthermore, Trasona is set to host the 2028 European Olympic Sprint Championships.

It is easily accessible from Nubledo via the AS-17 road, making Trasona a readily accessible destination both for sporting activities and for enjoying its recreational areas and observing the wildlife associated with the reservoir.
