Founded in 2003, the Rompiente Norte surf school is renowned for offering a unique and safe experience to anyone wishing to ride the waves under the guidance of experts in the sport.

At Rompiente Norte, we pride ourselves on our extensive experience and dedication to teaching surfing. Our highly trained team consists of professionals certified by the leading national and European sports federations and organisations, recognised by the Ministry of Education and the Higher Sports Council.

Our priority is to provide high-quality, personalised instruction, which is why we keep class sizes small. With a maximum group size of 25 people and an instructor-to-student ratio that never exceeds 1:7, we guarantee personalised and effective attention to ensure every student makes optimal progress.

Safety is paramount for us. All our equipment is certified and approved by the International Surfing Federations, and every student is covered by personal accident insurance during our lessons. Furthermore, Rompiente Norte holds civil liability insurance to offer our clients complete peace of mind.

Located on the stunning Playa de los Quebrantos, at the mouth of the River Nalón, we enjoy an exceptional coastal setting. With easy access, car park facilities and first-class amenities, we strive to maintain the beach in optimal condition to offer a 5-star or Blue Flag experience.
