Info
Abarike is a restaurant in Gijón run by chef Lara Roguez, which has been listed in the Michelin Guide almost since it opened, and which focuses on cuisine made from fresh, sustainably sourced seafood. Inspired by Asturian fishing traditions, Abarike takes its name from a traditional net used to catch bocartes. Its location in the fishermen’s quarter, Cimadevilla, reinforces this concept of proximity to the sea and its produce.
The restaurant offers an intimate and unique dining experience, featuring show cooking and a menu based on different categories of fish and shellfish (bivalves, crustaceans, etc.). It also boasts a dining bar and an intimate dining room. It also stands out for its innovative use of natural materials, such as shells and husks, for plating.
Abarike features a seafood-inspired cocktail menu and a select wine cellar stocked with wines from small producers, which complements its offering. The experience is rounded off by a social atmosphere at the bar, perfect for sharing oysters and glasses of champagne in a relaxed setting
